The current edition of the Drinks Trade Online magazine has Katrina Holden sipping away at our newly released 2011 Princess Moscato.
“Coming fromm a very difficult vintage in the Barossa, this 2011 Princess Moscato marks the fourth release of this wine, made from red frontignac grapes and enjoying gathering interest in the market place. Pale salmon pink in colour, the nose is grapey and with light frizzante and a touch of natural sweetness, this low-alcohol wine is regreshing and a good match for gruit dishes.”
From the June edition of Australian Golf magazine, a travel feature on the Barossa with wine writer Windsor Dobbin offering his review on PLW’s 2010 Classic Riesling
“Riesling is the favourite grape of many winemakers, and wine writers, but is often overlooked by drinkers, which is a pity as it offers great value for money. This is a blend of fruit from the warm Barossa and cooler Eden Valley and is a perfect choice for a party. It has some appealing apple blossom aromas, delightful lemon sherbert flovours and finishes off dry. Great with freshly chucked oysters.”

Christopher Waters from the Vines Magazine recommends the PLW 2008 Barossa Shiraz, giving it 4 stars in his review.
“ 4 Stars - The Lehmann Shiraz doesn’t get the credit it deserves for consistently and quietly delivering the goods for three decades. The 2008 vintage delivers classic Barossa character – concentrated plumy fruit mixed with chocolate notes, creamy texture and mellow tannins. Approachable now, this would be a great partner for grilled steak or lamb. It also has the stuffing to develop nicely over the course of the next four to six years.” CW

It seems the great scores for Peter Lehmann Eight Songs Shiraz just keep coming, and with the 2006 vintage about to hit US shores, we’re delighted the recommendations keep on flowing like the good wine itself!
Wine Spectator – Harvey Steiman: 2006 Eight Songs Shiraz. 92 Points (Outstanding). “Broad and generous, delivering a plush mouthful of plum, blueberry and spice flavors, this holds back on the finish just enough to achieve refinement. This has depth and striking balance. Drink now through 2018”
Wine Spectator – Harvey Steiman: 2005 Eight Songs Shiraz. 92 Points (Outstanding). “Polished, round and distinctive for its dark chocolate and chili pepper undertones around a core of ripe currant and blackberry. Shows power and finesse. Drink now through 2015.”
Wine Enthusiast – Joe Czerwinski: 2004 Eight Songs Shiraz. 90 Points (Highly Recommended). “Matured 18 months in French oak, this rich, velvety-textured Shiraz shows plenty of vanilla influence as a result. But there’s also plenty of ripe blackberry fruit, and the overall impression is of a lush, fruity wine that would make a lovely steakhouse red.”
